Salt air is hard on gate hardware. We use stainless or powder-coated hinges, latches and drop rods, and we set gate posts deeper and heavier than line posts so the gate hangs true for years. Almost every sagging gate comes down to one of three things: an undersized or poorly set post, a frame without diagonal bracing, or hardware that has corroded. We diagnose which it is, fix the cause rather than the symptom, and match the repair to the existing fence. If a gate is beyond saving, we fabricate a replacement to match.
